Artificial Intelligence for Biometric Recognition
Systems

Ruggero Donida Labati received the Ph.D. degree in
computer science from the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, in 2013.
Since April 2022, he has been an Associate Professor with the Università
degli Studi di Milano. He has been a Visiting Researcher with Michigan State
University, MI, USA. His original results have been published in more than 80
papers in international journals, proceedings of international conferences,
books, and book chapters. His research interests include biometric systems, artificial
intelligence and machine learning, signal and image processing, pattern
analysis and recognition, and theory and industrial applications of neural
networks. Dr. Donida Labati is currently an Associate Editor of Journal of
Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing (Springer).

Danilo Pelusi received
the PhD degree in Computational Astrophysics from the University of Teramo,
Italy. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication
Sciences, University of Teramo. Editor of books in Springer and Elsevier, he
is/was an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in
Computational Intelligence
IEEE Access and International
Journal of Machine Learning and Cybernetics
. Guest editor for Elsevier,
Springer and Inderscience journals and keynote speaker in several IEEE
conferences, he belongs to the editorial board member of many journals. His
research interests include Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Information Theory,
Machine Learning and Evolutionary Algorithms. Dr Danilo Pelusi is an editor
of Neuroscience Informatics.

Debashis De is a
professor at MAKAUT, WB, India. He is a senior member-IEEE, fellow IETE, and
life member CSI. He was awarded the prestigious Boyscast Fellowship by the
Department of Science and Technology, India, to work at the Heriot-Watt
University, Scotland, UK. He received the Endeavour Fellowship Award from
DEST Australia to work at the University of Western Australia and received
the Young Scientist twice in New Delhi and in Istanbul, Turkey, from the
International Union of Radio Science, Belgium. He established the Center of
Mobile cloud computing (CMCC) for IoT applications, and is vice-chair of Dew
Computing STC of IEEE Computer Society. Dr. De has published in 320 journals
and 200 conference papers, 15 books, and filed ten patents. His research
